Werkshop, Fort Myers, Florida

In August I had the opportunity to attend a workshop in Fort Myers, Florida. It was long travels, but I learned so much! I also participated in some pretty awesome styled shoots which you’ll find here. As some of you know, I’ve been trying to branch into the Tallahassee wedding market as well as the Gainesville wedding market. This has been a slow time coming and I’ve only been making small, gradual changes. I hope that I am able to target more brides in Tallahassee and Gainesville by using some of the information that I learned at the workshop!

I learned way more on the business side as I was expecting, I mostly went to this workshop to learn some posing techniques and basically “spice up my life” a little bit. Every creative needs something to energize them every now and then and Werkshop was my try at an energy boost. It gave me an energy boost and then some! I met some wonderful ladies from all over the south and met a photographer who I had been following for years (FAN GIRL!).

This workshop was a great experience and I hope to attend more workshops in the future. As I’ve always said, I never want to become complacent. There will never be a time in my life that I do not want to improve. I have large goals and I plan to reach them one way or the other. New goal as of yet: attend at least one workshop per year. You’ve got to grow and you don’t grow by doing what you’ve always done! I’m ready to get out of my comfort zone. Ready to learn new things, try new styles to “spice me up”, meet new people and create creative friendships. I love photographers, we just GET each other! I have photographer friends all over the country and I’m excited to have a few more who are closer to home.
