Senior Pictures on the Farm
Suwannee Senior
Kendall Butts
Kendall is such a gem! She’s a sweet, southern lady who always says “yes ma’am”, even when I tell her I’m really not old enough for that yet. I get the sweetest seniors, it must be something about my little small town! Kendall wanted to take her senior pictures on the farm. She’s grown up on her family farm bailing hay, so it was an obvious choice. However, she also wanted to tie in some of her grandmother’s heirloom suit cases, so we traveled to historic White Springs to fit the vibe. I absolutely love when seniors include things that are near and dear to them, in Kendall’s case her suitcases and her family farm. It makes the entire experience more valuable. This time in a seniors life is important, it’s the time before their life does a 180. I always preach to my seniors that we need to capture who you are at this point in her life, what’s meaningful to you, where you like to go, we need to create your personality and memories in photos. You’ll hear me say this a dozen times before your senior portrait experience is up, but that’s because it’s true!
“Behind you, all your memories. Before you, all your dreams. Around you, all who love you. Within you, all you need.”
After hair and makeup we traveled to White Springs for a few outfits before traveling back across town to Kendall’s family farm. When we arrived at the farm, I was shocked! It’s actually not very far from my home at all, but the property is just stunning. It’s no wonder Kendall wanted to take her senior pictures on the farm! The oak trees were stunning, but the land seemed to go on for way longer than most fields in Florida. Then Kendall asked if I wanted to use the old tractor, “Harold”, for some photos. When I saw “Harold” I was surprised she hadn’t mentioned him before! He’s a cool old guy with character, but he still runs! Kendall’s brother, Ethan, hopped on the tractor and moved “Harold” to the perfect spot just in time to capture beautiful light coming through the trees.
Kendall, you are one of a kind! It always shocks me when my seniors tell me they’re “too awkward” or they “won’t be any good at this”, especially girls like Kendall! I mean, WOW, she’s stunning, is she not?! She rocked her senior portrait experience like she’s been modeling for years. Keep being you, Kendall!
