Sunset Senior Pictures in North Florida
McKenna
McKenna’s sunset senior pictures turned out to be some of my favorites. I even printed one on metal for my photography studio! This field was not our original plans for her second location. McKenna actually wanted to use a lake that is near her house. When we got to the lake the tree coverage was so thick that it was already pretty dark. We took a few photos at the lake, but then decided to change our game-plan. We crossed the street into a vacant lot where the sun was still shining through brightly. It was gorgeous, so we hung out and took sunset senior pictures there until the sun went down. Sometimes you have to act on the fly and change your plan. Ironically, the times that I must act on the fly turn out to be some of my favorite photos.
One of McKenna’s outfits (the black dress) is actually her grandmothers. I thought it was so sweet that she wanted to wear it for her senior portraits. Not only did it fit her like a glove, it also went really well with the old bank in downtown Lake City. She also wore some of her grandmother’s old pearls and jewelry for the dress too. I love when seniors want to incorporate something meaningful to them in their session. It really makes the photos more memorable and tell more stories. I can just see McKenna telling her children stories about her grandmother while she is showing them her senior album in ten years. McKenna is a joy to be around. We giggled most of the afternoon since we have a similar sense of humor. It was so fun to take her senior pictures and get to know her through out her photography experience.
