Pet Portraits in Gainesville

Maddie and Pongo

I love taking University of Florida graduation photos because it’s my alma mater. It’s always fun to go back to the campus that I spent several years walking around, the campus is stunning and I find new spots each time I go. I’m so glad that Maddie wanted to include Pongo in her graduation session. Taking pet portraits in Gainesville just makes the session even better! Pongo was a trooper throughout the entire session. He gave us some big smiles, and kept Maddie smiling big too! That’s one thing I love about taking photos of dogs, their human never stops smiling when the pup is around. We took Pongo on quite the adventure as we traveled from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium all throughout the University of Florida’s campus. Pongo got a lot of compliment from the ladies, he is gorgeous isn’t he?!

I was friends with Maddie’s older sister, Julia, in college (wow, I AM getting old!). We rode horses together for the UF Equestrian Team. It was so nice to meet Maddie, who I had heard so much about, and get to photograph her. The Sumkin girls are all beautiful and just like Julia, Maddie was full of laughter. They’re truly a great set of girls to be around. Maddie intends to move to South Florida to become a yoga instructor and help with a non-profit organization. I just love when people use their skills for good! Thank you for choosing me to take your University of Florida graduation photos, Maddie! I had a wonderful time with you and Pongo.
