Turkey Pond Farm

Turkey Pond Farm is a cozy oasis located just outside the heart of Tallahassee. It’s a quiet Tallahassee boarding barn housed on over 75 acres and just a five minute drive to the greenway. The Etheridge family has leased the property for several years, but have lived just on the outskirts of the property for decades. Turkey Pond Farm is currently managed by Shelby Etheridge.

Whether you’re a hunter/jumper, eventer, rancher, or just someone who likes hitting the trails, Turkey Pond does not discriminate and all disciplines are welcome. There are amenities for everyone on site including a tack room, feed room, trailer parking, fenced and lit sand arena, bathroom, cross ties, and even 40 acres of roping cattle for the avid rancher. Turkey Pond Farm only offers pasture board, however each paddock has shelter and stalls are available in the unfortunate case of horses needing stall rest. The cap on boarders is 15, so the facility keeps a small, private atmosphere. Shelby enjoys caring for the horses and considers the farm and it’s boarders to be a family to her. There are even cook-outs for the boarders (and their pups!). The farm is super accommodating to ensure the best life for the horses. Whether your horse needs a fly mask, blankets in the winter, etc. Shelby will take care of it at no extra charge. She says the farm is kept low key on purpose and is only for those who love their horses and enjoy the company of likewise people. Though most boarders are not competing, outside trainers are welcome to give lessons on the premises given they have insurance of their own.

The property extends over 75 acres which is perfect for the trail rider. Large oak trees cover the property and you can find a creek rolling through parts, as well as a pond. For those who want their horse used to cattle, or roping, there’s 40 acres of cows to practice with. If 75 acres of riding isn’t enough for you, the greenway is a short 5 minute trailer ride away!
