I love getting to spend time with my wedding couples! Downtown is the perfect scene for a Tallahassee engagement photographer. I had a great time with Brittany and Woody during our engagement photo session. Brittany wanted to do downtown for one location, and the area near Harry’s worked perfect! For some reason, I had never seen the beautiful flowers growing up the columns. I am glad that Brittany mentioned them because they went perfectly with her dress. Funny story, we actually met up a few days before this session. The weather was hit or miss and we decided to go forward with the session anyway. The second (and I literally mean the second) we stepped out of the parking garage, it started lightning and storming. We rescheduled and I am glad we did! We jokingly said it was the “time they ALMOST had engagement photos”. Lucky for us, the reschedule date was beautiful.

My wedding couples are really something else, I have always lucked out by having the most amazing couples! Brittany and Woody are no exception. They have a fun, playful, relationship and we spent the entire afternoon cracking jokes with each other. I don’t think there was a serious moment during the entire engagement session and that is the way I like it! I love when couples will let loose, and playfully interact with each other. It creates adorable photos, and feels so much more like hanging out. I jokingly say “our session is a lot like friends hanging out,” but it’s not a joke! I actually mean it! During engagement sessions I try to learn as much as I can about my couples to make them feel important and to show them that I care. By the end of the session, couples are posing themselves and having a blast!
