Katie and Spider

I get to see a lot of beautiful places while being an Ocala horse photographer, Katie’s property is no exception. The way the light shines on her property is amazing! As with a lot of properties near Ocala, she has a lot of HUGE Oak Trees. I can never get over their big branches and the way the spanish moss glistens in the sunlight. The “horse capital of the world” is truly a stunning area.

Katie and Spider are quite the pair. Katie has owned Spider since she was born and their relationship is something special. Spider kept Katie smiling during the entire session between her acting goofy and posing pretty. Spider is a beautiful mare, she definitely knows how to give her mom the run around something though (but don’t all horses do that?). I had so much fun listening to the stories of Katie and Spider’s life together. There’s a special place in Katie’s heart for Spider, she’s truly her heart horse. I always love when someone has owned a horse for years (in Spider’s case, 15!) and intends on keeping them the rest of their life despite all of the things life may throw at them both.

Katie, thank you for letting me come out to photograph you and Spider. I had a great time and I cannot wait to see the photos on your wall!
