For horse girls, senior portraits just aren’t complete without the one partner who’s been there through it all—and for Allie, that’s her Quarter Horse, Penny.

We photographed her senior session here in Alabama, and it was such a celebration of the life she’s built in and out of the saddle. Allie brought along her letterman jacket, along with a few ribbons from shows that were especially meaningful. Each one has a story, a memory, and a piece of her journey—from barn days to big wins.

Penny was such a steady presence throughout the session—relaxed, expressive, and clearly bonded with Allie. These two have grown up together, and you can see that connection in every photo. As a photographer, I love creating images that blend personality with purpose, and Allie’s shoot was the perfect example of that.
