Senior Twin Sisters Portrait Session
North Florida High School Seniors
Luna and Emelia Rodriguez
Emelia and Luna are my first set of twins for senior photos! I had an awesome time with them between capturing some of their dance moves and jumps, and taking a boat ride along the Suwannee River. I think we laughed the entire day, even through the rain storm that happened in the middle of their session (thanks, Florida!). We did some downtown portraits in Live Oak, FL, some photos on a cool bicycle wall (fence?) on a friends property, then ended the afternoon with a boat ride along the Suwannee to an old childhood play spot.
Although Emelia and Luna were my first set of twins, they are not my first dancers. Dancing photos is still pretty new to me, but 2019 has given me a handful of dancers so I’m starting to get used to it! However, I’m still amazed at what these girls are capable of doing. They can jump several feet into the air and somehow manage to do a split, while I can maybe touch my toes…maybe. I just cannot figure out how someone can do such a thing and make it look effortless!
Emelia and Luna’s dad was kind enough to drive us to their childhood play spot along the river. Can you imagine how excited I was when I found out I got a boat ride?! The girls used to play at an old tree along the Suwannee. Though the river was pretty high, we were still able to photograph their old play spot.
These two girls both have the brightest personalities. They’re both fun to be around and every “serious” face I asked of them was followed immediately by laughter. I enjoyed every second with these girls, straight down to their ordering appointment while we were designing albums and Luna’s photo choices of her and Emelia. Long story short, Luna wasn’t supposed to be in a photo, but since we were on a boat I couldn’t get the perfect angle. So, I photoshopped her out of Emelia’s photo, but left Luna in for her album. The photo looks like Luna is watching over herself, it’s actually pretty funny… you know… since they’re twins. Anyways, I’m so excited to share these photos with you all!
