Kelly and Eli were basically made for each other. Even in her vows, Kelly stated something along the lines of “our weird compliments the other perfectly”. When I was talking to Eli before the wedding, he was so excited to see Kelly, then during the ceremony he could not contain his excitement, he smiled from ear to ear! Being their wedding photographer in Lake City was truly great. They are both kind hearted people who care so deeply for the other. I have had the pleasure of getting to know them between engagement photos, planning, and their wedding. I was so excited for their wedding because I got to hear all of the plans for it. Kelly and Eli are BIG movie fans. For their engagement session we went to the old Marion Theater in Ocala, Florida. They had big plans for their wedding to share their movie obsession which they pulled off perfectly! They had custom movie release signs made from their engagement photos, “popcorn” cupcakes, movie reels on the tables, filmstrips made from photos of them, and their wedding cake even was half superhero and half white. They really got creative and it showed!
Their ceremony was sweet, I love when couples write their own vows. It gives you an insight to their relationship and gets everyone a little emotional. I think everyone was a little teary eyed, especially Kelly and Eli’s parents and sisters. After their ceremony, the party really got started. They danced the night away, then for their “exit” we decided to do a dance instead of an actual exit. Kelly had large glow foam sticks that she wanted to use, and paired with the DJ lights, we just had to dance instead! So Kelly picked the song “Turn Down for What”… as soon as the glow sticks were handed out and the beat dropped, everyone lost it! I know Kelly and Eli had a blast at their wedding and I’m so happy for them. It was a pleasure getting to know them, and an honor to be their Lake City wedding photographer. Thank you, Kelly and Eli, for trusting me with your precious memories!
