Christmas Dog Photos Session
Morgan & GiGi
Morgan and GiGi had such a great time taking their Christmas dog photos! GiGi had her a good handful… or two of treats which she was very thankful for. She had to smell each of the presents under the tree, and the stocking–I think she was searching for her Christmas gifts! This pup was so much fun to be around. She loves scratches, especially above her tail! When Morgan scratched in just the right spot, GiGi became quite the wiggle butt. GiGi had both of us giggling for the entire session. I was so glad when Morgan wanted to take these photos! We wanted it to be very homey and comfortable, which is why Morgan chose Christmas pajamas. GiGi looked absolutely ADORABLE in her little Christmas sweater! These photos will look great hanging on the mantle at Christmas, and even on the tree in metal ornaments.
My favorite part about taking portraits of dogs is showcasing their personality. Each dog has a different personality and not every pose, or prompt works for them. I love asking the Mom (owner) what traits their dog has, and what they do on a daily basis. When I asked Morgan about GiGi, she said that she “gives her a hug” every morning. She will paw Morgan’s leg until she’s picked up, then will rest her head on Morgan’s shoulder. Of course we had to get a photo of that!
Merry Christmas, I hope these photos bring you joy!
