Gracee Priest

This rustic senior photos in North Florida session was one for the books. Gracee and her mom told me about this church that their family has gone to for years, it is only open two days a year. I didn’t think anything about it until we drove down several dirt roads. When I finally started questioning “where the heck are we?!” we pulled into this super cute, old, white wash church. It was perfect! I do a lot of sessions on family property, or places where families go often that might not be available for public access. I actually encourage my seniors to come up with unique to them locations because it makes the session more sentimental to them. It also helps me creatively as each location forces me to think of ways to use the available light and background.

Gracee is a super sweet girl, so I made sure that we captured that in her senior portraits. She has a killer soft smile, and stunning blue eyes. On the contrary, she giggles so much, she made me think I was funny (I’m not!). We laughed so hard during her session. It took all three of us as a team to make her megaphone photo come to life because we were all laughing so hard. I am still amazed that she was able to stand on such a small space with one foot! Including Gracee’s cheerleading uniforms was really important to her, and she came up with a unique way to use both her family’s church, and her uniforms together. We ended the session in her home town, Lake City, at some historical buildings downtown. We had so much fun together and I’m so glad to have met Gracee!
