Photographing two horses in one session can feel like a fun little puzzle—and I love the challenge. For this Pensacola shoot with Courtney and her horses, Playboy and Link, we made sure to capture a variety of portraits that celebrated each horse individually, and as a pair.

Playboy is a striking grey warmblood gelding, while Link, her golden palomino paint pony, brings all the personality and charm. Link is used in lessons and has been with Courtney for years, so including him in these portraits was a must. During the session, we rotated between group shots, individual portraits, and a few quiet candid moments that really let each horse’s personality shine.

As a Pensacola equine photographer, I always plan ahead for multi-horse sessions—bringing in variety, flattering compositions, and just enough patience to make it all work. Whether you have two horses or ten, it’s absolutely possible to create a session that tells each of their stories beautifully.
