Senior portrait photography is so much fun to me. Each soon-to-be graduate has their own personality, their own hobbies, likes, dislikes, history. Getting to know each one of them is probably one of my favorite things about this job, but what’s even better is letting that show through their portraits.
I tell all of my seniors that I force them to do a “fake laugh” and that it’s super weird, but we’re going to do it anyways. Alexis heard about this rule of mine from a friend and came prepared. By the end of her session, just like I said it would, she was giggling through every pose.
Alexis has played soccer for as long as she can remember, one of her favorite past-times with her father whom she wanted to incorporate into her senior portraits. Unfortunately for Alexis, she tore her ACL half way through her senior season which set her up for surgery. Regardless of the situation, Alexis loves soccer.
Aside from soccer, Alexis enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her precious pup, JC! Animals have a way to wrap me (and everyone else) around their paws, so I love when seniors incorporate them in their photos. I’m getting a puppy in a week and named her about 6 months ago before she was even conceived, so I guess you could say I’m that “crazy pup mom”.
During our session Alexis was nothing but sweet, she’s a southern belle for sure! Yes ma’am and no ma’am (even though I am NOT old!), and nothing but smiles. I’m proud to call her an addition to my little Shelly Williams Photography Senior Family!
