Equine Photographer in Birmingham Alabama

Hannah & Chloe

I have had the pleasure of meeting so many great equestrians so far being an equine photographer in Birmingham, Alabama. Hannah being one of them! We spent a warm summer afternoon together photographing her with her homebred mare, Chloe, on her parents wedding venue, Blackberry Lane Farm. Hannah grew up on this property so it was really special to have one of her homebred warmbloods photographed here. Blackberry Lane Farm features a super cute log cabin, a beautiful lake, and plenty of opportunities for great photos. While photographing Hannah and Chloe I was able to meet one of her childhood ponies that we will be taking photos of later this year. I cannot wait to see the farm in the fall! It’s beautiful in the summer, I’m so excited to see what fall holds… this coming from a Florida girl who has never experienced a change in leaves!

Being a hunter jumper myself, I love that I am able to meet others in my discipline as an equine photographer in Birmingham, Alabama. The hunter jumper community in this area is strong and it’s great to talk and share experiences about a mutually loved sport. Hannah has been an equestrian for decades and grew up riding. Her and her mom bonded over their love of horses and started a small farm and breeding operation. Though Hannah has now started a family of her own and taken a step back from training and breeding, she still owns a handful of her horses and ponies. She also is a fellow pony jockey in her spare time, which I can relate to! I’m honored to have been able to take photos of Hannah and Chloe, and to have gotten to know them while taking their photos.
